"SNAP SHOT"

© 2009 (Rough Draft)

A picture here, a picture there.
Moments like these should be shared.
Does it really matter what you wear?
Or the style and cut, of your hair.
Honestly, nobody really even cares.
But there is one, over the horizon, just past the sun.
That thinks of you when the day is done.
For there's a reason he had to come.
It's not always perfect, but not all about fun.
Even the father works six days and rested once.
So learn to appreciate, when not on the run.
Capture this, capture that.
Photo's tells the story, happy or mad.
The year it was taken or the latest fad.
Crack a smile, are you about to laugh?
Or frown a lot, to the bone your bad.
Holding tears back when your so sad?
Times like these are worth 10,000 words, you see.
Ups and downs, we have plenty of needs.
But it's the dust you wipe after taking a knee.
That makes this life so interesting.
Will you get up and go, fall back on a degree?
Get right with others who disagree.
If he can forgive you, then you can forgive me.
The song must go on in sweet harmony
As the circle continues, another asks with a plea.
Then turn around and do a likewise good deed.
A wish is granted, the hungry we feed.
When the soil is ripe, you planted the seed.
Look to the heart, instead of fashionable jeans.
You'll find another friend, two pods full of peas.
After pulling the weeds, you feel stress released.
For it had choked the root of your tree, Gone Green.
In a earth that spins on an axis held by The King.
Not of this world, not exactly been seen.
A prayer that lies, on an angels gold wing.
And our faith lies in the words that we read.
From the wonderful counselor, prince of peace.
Almighty God, the leader in the ring.
Jehovah Jira, to which all the stars sing.
So many names, but one with the trinity.
He's like the water that flows and then turns to ice.
Covering the mountain tops, nothing more nice.
Flakes for miles and miles, to the tallest heights.
Purest color, the brightest white.
That melts in the day, mists in the night.
Flood gates open, quite a fright sight.
As birds head for cover & take flight.
Spring has now sprung, warmth has begun.
Rainbow stretches thru the blue sky.
For cold is gone, a season is done.
Like a fork in the turkey before it reaches the bun.
The water reflects the father who is also someones son.
With kids of his own, that makes 3 people in one.
For we are all made in his image.
Whether sad or happy or angry or gay.
But not in that way, or isn't the image still the same?
Even if rough around the edges in a bending blank frame.
Aren't we all in his ponds in the oddest duck way?
For there's the good, the bad, ugly and the blind date.
And some just happen to bloom a little late.
Or thyroids not working couldn't have been the ten twinkies just ate.
"Is the room getting smaller, or did you gain a lot of weight?"
Everything is fried, never broiled or baked.
The half eaten sandwich left on someone else's plate.
You'd throw it away, but would be such a waste.
Follow it with another, helping of cake.
Chase it down with skim milk that taste exactly like paste.
Or lick the bowl of raw cookie dough.
For Pete's sake, can't you just wait?
Go turn on the t.v., or log on to my space.
What in the hades, what a disgrace.
You mean no one monitors this crap is the great US of A.
No wonder there's so much crime and despicable rapes.
The country has fell on it's rear and fat face.
Anger management can't help the mass invasion of hate.
With borders wide open, holding the ace of spades.
Don't look now, but we're just one step away.
From a state of bankruptcy, we dug our own grave.
Fell fast from glory, falling from HIS grace.
Couldn't keep up with the Jones's at ths ridiculous pace.
Tired and weary, too long and out of shape.
As the others past by, we're out of the race.
Recession to depression w/ a high interest rate.
Unless we change the path, there's still only one way.
Follow the truth and light, on our knees as we pray.
Restore what's been lost, get rid of the smog & the haze.
Each to his own, each to be saved.
Take the addictions and the sin we now all crave.
Send it back to the kitchen, put something else on our plate.
Give us a drink of the blood that only you could've gave.
Feed us the bread that came from your bones that now lay.
Next to your father, under GOD, one that creates.
Same one on the dollar, we've slapped in the face.
Father like son, will he turn his cheek the other way?
Call on his name, forgive us of being laim.
Revenge the enemy that sleeps when awake.
Save this earth that moans when it trembles & shakes.
Keep us from greed & envy, prevent from becoming fake.
For we know Jehovah will have the last say.
For he's the alpha and omega at the beginning & end of every decade.
He'll be the only actor standing on the very last stage.
Swan song to the snake, and then creation will fade.
As a new beginning comes down, heavens already been made.
The sun will willow w/ no need, but from his light there's no shade.
As he judges the "idols" whose songs nose dive from fame.
And the book of life opens, but no names are written in grey.
Black or White, do or die, Who'll testify?
He who rose from the grave for u & I.
Some will laugh, some will cry.
Others will stand by his side.
As his father will decide, who stays without answering why?
For those will fly and meet him up high.
A gavel slams down, "May ye all rise."
To the honoring judge, Your Hinest, who made the stars in the sky.
And The oceans and seas while calming the waves.
The planets far away will shout hip, hip, hooray.
On this glorious day that the Lord hath made.
Songs of victory from those who all sang.
Like a family reunion w/ special communion, in this gathering place.
Behind a golden wall, under a running waterfall, thru the pearly white gates.
He's the truth and the way.
Snap shot of a perfect picture, is there anymore I can say?
