"Light Show In The Sky

© 2009 (Rough Draft)

March is already here again.
A little sleet, ,let the madness begins.
March Madness that is, when teams only play to win.
And a true sports fan has his bracket filled in.
A war between 64 squads, the few elite chosen.
Uppercut here, elbow there, 99 stitches on the chin.
Worse than being in a  lions den.
While the whistles wet and about to be blown.
Tip off began, players now on their own.
It's too late to call mommy at home.
For each one dreams of the NBA, one day.
Are they doing it for the money,  the game, or for fame?
Doesn't really matter, it all pays the same.
More the glitter, the more it rains.
As a bright orange ball in the shape of the sun.
Arches thru the air, a rainbow on the run.
Swish in a net full of gold,  game  just won.
That's what's so exciting about this bouncing sport.
As fans charged down onto the dance floor
But one accidently hit the  emergency door.
And every sprinkler went off, causing a heavy down pour.
Bleachers flooded, so did the court.
Light show coming , no one knew what was in store.
Above the torn net, over the back board.
So many colors, a rainbow had formed.
It's Saint Patrick's Day, riches galore.
But the power is in the blood that ran thru the thorns.
The worth was not in the coins at the end.
The cost, this is where it begins.
Reflected in the colors of true character, my friend.
For the red, represents the blood that was shed.
Yellow's a common fellow,  He served with respect.
Blue is loyal and His trustworthiness.
Green , we must persevere and always confess.
Orange,  not blame others and be careless.
Purple's  fair and you'll be blessed.
For his royalty arose thru the price he paid.
These colors of Christ are the only way.
Be  kind to your neighbor, their probably here to stay.
"Light show in the sky", is a promise GOD made.

Around 10,000 years ago, but his mind hasn't changed.
A contract signed in stone still remains,
No matter what some dumb  scientist will say.
The sun, the moon, the stars in the sky.
The grass, the tree's , the creature's that fly.
The oceans, the seas, and rivers flow by.
All the animals on land, even the ones that bite.
Our skin, our face, the eyes which give sight.
For there's no measurement to his height.
Hold on to the word tight, hang on for dear life.
We're only an ant trying to read an elephants mind.
We think we have all the answers, but always ask why?
Is the dust from which we came, turned the same when we die?
Only HE knows the place on the other side.
Remember, HE's the one who held back the great tide.
Largest waves, calmed in the night.
His son walks on them without any fright.
For his father above holds the universe's might.
Bow on a knee, hold your hands high.
Only he should be praised and glorified.
For there is no mountain in which you can't climb.
So look in your heart, seek and you will find.
A savior, a friend, the door when we die.
Into a new world above, a kingdom  of delight.
With HIS hand full of colors, red, yellow, black and white.
You know the rest..............in his sight.
If this is wrong then I hope I'm not right.
Like Jacobs jacket found in thick blood.
It had many colors like the arch after the flood.
Stretching over the pasture, while cows chewed on their cud.
After the rain,  flowers bloom from a bud.
Better than fireworks that can be a big dud.
Or the particle son, eating with pigs in the mud.
Storms a coming, for cover we run.
Back to our father, when others make fun.
Tail between your legs, humbled and done.
Open arms await, for God is Love.
The Big orange ball spins in space, on his finger above.
Moon below, silent and hushed.
But out of his hat, we appear as a dove.
Only a magician can make use of the dust.
A savior, when it was a must.
An artist,  forming clay from earth's crust.
A judge, when it's time to protect the just.
But wash out our mouths with soap when we cuss.
A father, to children throwing a fuss.
A doctor, if your hearts poisoned with lust.
A mechanic, when our engine seems to have rust.
A driver, when our tires get stuck.
Spinning in circles while he calls a tow truck.
We see only the worse, been thrown under a bus.
Born on St. Patty's Day, how could you have bad luck?
Always looking down, try to look up.
For far above, way up high.
Over the clouds is a promise to us.
Where the worth's in its stripes & HE's the gold mine.
Our inheritance is HE sent from above.
Like the colorful bow, a "Light show in the sky."
